Write a Letter to your Mother informing her about a prize you got in the school science exhibition.

My dear Mother,

......Recently a science exhibition was arranged in our school by the members of our science club. The exhibits included charts, pictures, and models. Some experiments were also exhibited. All the exhibits were prepared very carefully after a thorough study of the subjects.

......Our science teacher teachers guided us in the preparation of the exhibits. The exhibits were nicely arranged on walls and tables in our science hall.

......Three exhibits were given prizes. The prize distribution function took place yesterday. Our principal gave away the prizes. I got a prize for my exhibit which was a pencil portrait of the great scientist Sir Issac Newton.

The following special forms must be remembered:


Family Letter:-

• Salutation: Dear Father, My dear mother, Dear Sister and so on...
• Subscription: Yours lovingly, Your affectionately, Your loving son, brother, sister, etc.

Letters to Friends:-

• Salutation: Dear Sam, My dear Ram and so on..
• Subscription:Yours sincerely, Very sincerely yours, Yours for ever, Your sincere friend and so on..

Formal or Official Letters:-

• Salutation:Sir.
• Subscription:Yours faithfully.

Business Letters:-

• Salutation:Dear Sir, Gentlemen etc.
• Subscription:Yours faithfully.

Application Letters:-

• Salutation:Sir.
• Subscription:Yours faithfully.
